Why locals love it
The Ranua Zoo was established in 1983. The Zoo specializes in arctic and northern animal species as the region, also the park has other relocated species but all animals can survive in Arctic sphere. The spacious animal fencing are located in the midst of northern forests, the natural habitat of most of the animals that live inside the park.

Why you should visit it
Ranua Zoo is open every day of the year. The changing seasons give an additional dimension to your Zoo visit, follow up chancing events through facebook page. The Ranua Zoo is a member of the EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION OF ZOOS AND AQUARIA (EAZA). The EAZA gives guiding and recommendations for Wildlife Park operations.
