Why locals love it
Golf Club was founded in 1986. During the first years, golf in Rovaniemi was played in arctic conditions, it was commonly winter golf courses built of snow on the frozen river. Only a few years later, the first summer golf course of six fairways and the practice area was build on Saarenkylä.

Why you should visit it
In 1997, a new 9-hole golf course was opened in Ounasvaara. In 2011 the 9-hole extension was build that completed the full sides 18-hole golf course. Nowadays, the main season of golf at the Arctic Circle is summer. In occasions also enjoy winter golf at the 9-hole winter golf course of Ounasvaara Golf Park.

Santa Claus Golf Club, Winter Golf Course, Golf Th Club House is opened Mon-Fri 10:00 -17:00, Sat-Sun 10:00 -15:00.
