This is the only coffee shop that processes and serves civet coffee (Kape Alamid), named so from the droppings of the civet cats that are endemic to the area. Chat up Gowad, the owner, when you see him with his paper and he'll happily give you an insider on the local coffee.
If you're on the hunt for the authentic Sagada brew, you can only find it at Bana's Café. Apart from their exotikape, or Kape Alamid, they also brew their Arabica house blend and prepare delectable meals with hefty servings as well as Mountain Tea. One can buy packs of dried tea leaves around town, too.
They open shop for the early birds, particularly the folks who are back from the sunrise treks, and they close at around 7pm.
