Why locals love it

It is said that there are about 80,000 shrines in Japan and most of them have stone guardian dogs and a Torii gate at the entrance. However, this shrine has stone rabbits and no torii gate. As you can fine rabbit objects everywhere, it is not only loved by locals but also by rabbit fanciers.

Why you should visit it

"Tsuki", the name of its shrine is phonetically same as "moon" and "good luck" in Japanese. In the Japanese myths, rabbits are considered to be the envoys from the moon. That's why there are so many rabbit objects here. This shrine is often visited by soccer players of the local team.

Special tip

Check out their cute rabbit lucky charms! Also it's good to know that flea markets are held on the fourth Saturday of each month in the precinct.
