Why locals love it
Temperatures can be very high in Salzburg over the summer, so locals tend to go to Leopoldskron to cool down. It's easy to see what attracts people to this place: the pools are plenty big enough to cope with crowds, there's a fun slide, and you can play beach volleyball. Oh, and you get a great view of the Hohenfestung.

Why you should visit it
This is one of the local's favourite places in summer. You can lie in the grass all day and splash about to cool down, while admiring the Hohenfestung. If you have children, this is a great place for them as there are shallow brooks for them to play in as well as swings. Please note that the facilities are closed from autumn to late spring.
Special tip
If the weather's splendid, come later as the opening hours are prolonged and there's less people. Don't forget to take a 1€ coin to use the lockers.
