Reghistan Square was and remains the heart of Samarkand. It consists of three madrassas: Ulugbeg, Tilla Kari and Sherdor. In the fourteenth century, the six main arteries ran from the gates of the city and met at Reghistan Square. To bring merchants to Samarkand Amir Timur had a street lined with shops and a huge bazaar built.
This is the place which you will never forget.
You can climb to the minaret 34 metres.
