Inspired by Greco-Roman ruins, this monumental palace was constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition by architect Bernard Maybeck. Only one pavilion remains today. Now a historic place, the palace, with its picturesque lake and garden, is a popular location for wedding photo shoots.

The imposing rotunda of the Palace of Fine Arts is hard to miss. It makes you wonder how grand the whole structure must have been back in the early 20th century! It’s a beautiful and serene place where you can relax on the grass in the shadow of a weeping willow, watching swans, ducks, turtles and frogs dabbling in the pond.
Don’t hesitate to visit in the evening – the Palace of Fine Arts is illuminated at night!
