The 16th Avenue Tiled Steps Project has been a neighborhood-wide effort to transform the 163 steps located at 16th and Moraga into a work of art. More than 200 neighbors came together to create a meaningful walkway for the whole city to enjoy.

Why you should visit it
These beautiful mosaic steps are unique, and each step leads up to amazing views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio Park. The project also gives a good picture of San Francisco’s artistic community.
Special tip
Arrive late to avoid the crowds and enjoy the sunset. Continue on Moraga Street until you reach the park for breathtaking views of SF.
