Locals love The Fizzary because nowhere else in San Francisco can one indulge in one (or more) of their 700+ artisan soda varieties for only $2 or eat old-fashioned sweets that are truly reminiscent of childhood. They also brew their own soda varieties under the name “Taylor's Tonics”.

Why you should visit it
With weird flavors of soda like candy cane, birch, eggnog and lavender, you'll find choosing just one a daunting (but fun) task. If soda isn't your thing, try the candies. The shop sells two of the oldest candies still produced in the U.S. using the original 1800s recipe. Ask for the Black Jack or the Gibraltars.

You can have your soda chilled in their chilling barrel while you pay.
