This tour is perfect for people who love to experience local culture and see wonderful areas of San Francisco that tourists miss. Walk around, learn some history, and eat delicious food. Children are welcome as well!
We will start in Balmy Alley, a beautiful street in the Mission lined with murals. We will then walk down Valencia Street, and see where 20-somethings love to shop and eat. Our tour continues along Balmy Alley and then on to Mission Dolores, the oldest building in San Francisco. We will then head towards San Francisco's Mission Dolores Park, which is always thriving with activity. We'll then walk over to the Castro District. Here, stops include Orphan Andy's, a lively old-fashioned diner; Castro Theater, which is always showing unique movies; and Hot Cookie, a flamboyant bakery that displays the Castro's true spirit.
Along the way, I'll be sure to point out any delicious cafés, bakeries, and restaurants, like Boba Guys or Bi-Rite Creamery. I'll also tell you about the neighborhoods' and San Francisco's history. You cannot truly appreciate the Mission and the Castro without knowing their heritage.
Price does not include any purchased food.
