A traditional place that lasts for more than 30 years, it's one of the bohemian favourites when it comes to good food, cold drinks and sports matches. Empanada is highly popular in Argentina, also very common in Chile, but it has, actually, Arab roots.
This is the best place in town to explore all the tastes and possibilities of empanadas. Meat is the traditional one, but flavours such as "palmito" (heart of palm), spinach, "carne seca" (a Brazilian hit) and the "catupiry" options (the Brazilian cream cheese) are also great choices.
Try the sweet "Romeu e Julieta" version, with the Brazilian classic duet of cheese and guava.
