Why locals love it
Minhocão (the big earthworm) is a busy and crowded elevated highway, downtown São Paulo. But between 9:30pm-6:30am and all day on Sundays and holidays, the highway is closed to car traffic and it changes completely. The 3.5km of concrete turn into a kind of park, where children play, people run and even parties and special events happen.

Why you should visit it
It's definitely an interesting place of the city - and if you manage to see it in a busy day versus a holiday you'll be surprised with the diference. Two opposite sides of São Paulo, one of the many sites in town where you can see and feel its contradictions.
Special tip
Rent a bicycle and ride it up and down, enjoying the old and beautiful architecture around.
