It's one of the city's greatest landmarks. Even though it's not a place locals visit many times during their life, everyone has been there at least once: in the place where, in 1554, São Paulo started. This former jesuit school today holds a history and religion museum called Museu Anchieta, a nice library and a small chapel
Why not start your trip around São Paulo where the city itself started? Pateo do Collegio is very well preserved and is one of the only flat and old-style architecture buildings amongst all the famous skyscrapers. You can learn some of the jesuit and city history, visit a former crypt and have lunch or coffee at the restaurant inside the courtyard
There's public free wifi just outside the Pateo and sunday masses are held at 10PM on its chapel
