Why locals love it

One of São Paulo's busiest and longest avenues, this is where everything happens. Movie theaters, schools, cultural centers, shopping malls, parks and remainings of late 19th century architecture are just some of the sights you will find when walking down this road

Why you should visit it

If spotting people of all ages and styles; bumping into different sorts of street artists (from an Elvis to Chiquinha, who claims to be a brazilian native); cycling on a sunday morning; or just sitting at a bar table on the sidewalk and seeing the crowd passing by seems like a nice thing to do, then you should go nowhere else than Paulista Avenue

Special tip

If you want to take a nice picture to show people back home, try standing on the curfew between the roads

On Sundays it's closed for cars, a nice place to walk, eat and shop. At night it's wonderful to see all the lights.

Would you please tell me where I can buy good books especially the ones that teach Portuguese to foreigners?

On Sunday they close for car, and they have a lot activities. The avenue has also many cultural centers, museum, shops and restaurants
