Hello,

First time going to SP. I love street food, but not food poisoning. What places do you recommend for some street food that are safe?

Oh, sorry I didn’t catch your question early, but you should go to Paulista Avenue, nearby FIESP building. There’s a permanent spot with a bunch of street food cars.

Sundays at Paulista avenue, and Benedito Calixto square at saturdays.

Any "feira", anywhere in the city (you'll always find one near you), the everyday street-market for fruits and vegetables (except on mondays), where you can grab a "pastel", a typical Brazilian snack (a sort of a fried pie filled with either ground beef or cheese).

Hey! Well, as already said, I also recommend Vila Butantã, VIla Madalena and Rua Augusta. You can find many restaurants with all kinds of food at Rua dos Pinheiros, a very cool street in Pinheiros branch.

You mean a street with lots of food trucks in it? Like in Miami? I don´t know of any. There is a "food park" called Vila Butantan - http://vilabutantan.com.br/ - that is a lot of fun. Different types of food trucks, some music, pop-up stores... very cool.

No, more like carts or stands. I dont usually trust trucks because if the laws here in the U.S., but Brazil is probably different.
Hello! You can find a food park on Augusta Street. They have many different kinds of street food and are definitely safe to eat.
At night you can also find a lot of small trucks on this street that sell the Brazilian hot dog. It’s normally safe, really cheap and absolutely delicious.

You can't go wrong around Augusta street, specially towards downtown. I'd also recommend the Vila Madalena neighborhood in general.
