Seattle's food scene has a number of faces, but has a couple common themes you'll notice.
The Sea. Salmon, crab, oysters, geoduck. We've got them, they're tasty, you should eat them. Smoked, steamed, stewed, or put in a benedict, it's all good.
Asia. We're the connection for most flight's from asia, the biggest port to the East, and have a century and a half of history with Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants. And we've got the food to show it. We've got a Vietnamese restaurant for every 8 Vietnamese people living in the city, a former apprentice of Jiro Ono serving up sushi in Bell Town, and a solid claim to the origin of modern teriyaki in the States.
Craft. With a reputation as a station of the hipster cross, you can bet we've got the craft cocktails, local microbrews, and artisanal everything to go with it.
