For us Sevillanos, Macarena is a place where our heart belongs to. The Basilica of Macarena is then also our famous sight. We come to pray and honour our "Madre de Sevilla". During Semena Santa, it is the most important procession that is happening here.

Why you should visit it
The Basilica is worth visiting because of its baroque revival architecture and ofcourse the Hope of Macarena. She is always portrayed crying crystal tears because of her son's death, Jesus. They also have a museum with more info about Semana Santa.
Special tip
Close to the basilica you can find the Arch of Macarena, that used to be an entrance to the city.
