St. Lawrence's Mediterranean Garden in Sibenik was restored and opened in 2007, after almost a hundred years had been forgotten. It is an integral part of the Franciscan monastery of St. Lawrence and is part of the Sibenik private grammar school program.

This garden is a rare landmark, because it is the only monastery garden of this kind in Croatia, followed by a well-known medieval scheme: a crossroads, the center of a small shrub, a simple parternal arrangement bordered by a bush and beautiful, old-fashioned roses. In four fields planted medicinal and herbs are planted.
The garden is most beautiful in spring and summer when the roses are in bloom, so definitely check it out then!
