Why locals love it
Piața Mare is the main square in Sibiu and it is located right in the heart of the Old Town. Historically, it was the administrative square of medieval Sibiu. Nowadays, Piața Mare is the place where most events take place - i.e. Christmas fair, concerts, festivals, and even a marathon.

Why you should visit it
Piața Mare is the main square of the Old Town. Here you will find the main restaurants, cafes, hotels, and sights of the Upper Town. Additionally, the Tourism Information Center is housed at the ground floor of the City Hall (CIT is also a good meeting point for travelers with locals).
Special tip
Haller Cafe stands on the southern side of the square, in an old medieval house (with lion frescoes), and it has an animated pavement terrace.
