About 2 km from Skopje, between Skopje Fortress and archaeological site Skupi, over the river valley of the small river Serava is located this important cultural monument. The Skopje Aqueduct is made with great skills and precision, from stone and brick.
The Aqueduct has a lenght of 284 meters, 54 main arches erected on massive pillars and 42 small holes that serve to facilitate weight. According to some researches, the Aqueduct was built in VI century during the tenure of Justinian, while others believe it is made later in the XV century.
