Fell Oratunturi rises along Kemijärventie and offers insane scenery for summer and autumn travelers only a 2-kilometer walk. The fell is very rocky, so the walker must be safe-footed, unhurried and sturdy. Near the top is Metsähallitus' shed, to which a snowmobile route also leads. If the gravel road is in bad shape do not drive it!
On the top of the Fell Oratunturi there is several stone structures, in which are build in different reasons. One markings might be related in the research of Selim Lemström. He was a geophysicist who belonged to the Finnish Polar Expedition, in the 1880s. Lemström did research on northern lights with a copper conductor loop.
