Why locals love it
Orakoski's Camping area is located on the road between Rovaniemi and Sodankylä. Camping area is a short drive away are from Luosto and Pyhän Ski Areas as well as the popular Pyhä-Luosto Hiking Trails in summer. Orakoski's Camping has a beautiful and peaceful location on Kitinen shore about 10 kilometers south of Sodankylä.
Why you should visit it
There are 13 cottages in the area, beach, sauna, smoke sauna and hut. The café is the reception. The café has a little store that sells souvenirs as well offers jams, blueberry pie, sweet pies and reindeer pie. Lunch includes salmon and reindeer soup, as well as reindeer roasting from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Special tip
Breakfast is available upon request. It is also possible to organize banquets and order meals.
