Why locals love it
Sattasvaara is an old cone volcano and a very special revelation. An asphalt road leads to the base of the hill. Contrary to the sign in the terrain, we recommend the path through the reindeer fence. Old Fire Guard Cabin is located at the top.
Why you should visit it
The route is marked and the distance to the top is about 1.5 kilometers. The ascent is steep, choose shoes that support your feet and remember drinking water. The scenery at the top is unforgettable, and you can rest in the fire guard’s hut. As you walk through the reindeer gate gates, be sure to also close them behind you.
