Marko was a fabulous tour guide, it felt more like a day out with a friend. He had a vast knowledge of the history of the area, and shared many stories from his own life which really brought the tour alive. I really couldn’t recommend him or the trip enough. It was a great way to see more of the area, rather than just getting a direct transfer. We really enjoyed the eclectic mix of cultures in Mostar, and even saw the bridge divers take a dip in the river, which was a bit of a shock! Definitely book this trip if you can.

Highlights

tour of Mostar

tour of Ston

Description

Departure from Split. Pick up at the place of your accommodation. Either with a vehicle or your guide will meet you there, depending on the accessibility of the location. Morning departure and drive across the coastline and inland of Dalmatia towards Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once we reach the border we are going to leave Croatia and go towards the Town of Mostar in the neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina. There you will see the beautiful historic Ottoman-style bridge – the symbol of the city called Stari Most (Old Bridge).

Afterwards we will continue with our drive towards Dubrovnik with one more stop at the very beginning of the Pelješac peninsula in order to visit an esteemed Miloš family winery located on the very slopes of their own vineyards. There we are going to have wine tasting and wine presentation.

After wine tasting we will visit the Medieval town of Ston. There you will see the longest stone wall in Europe (5,5 km), salt cultivation and oyster farms where you are going to taste fresh oysters opened right before you.

Refreshed after oyster experience we are heading towards Dubrovnik and expect to arrive to Dubrovnik in the late afternoon.
