Secret place for some of the locals to hide from noisy, full of vehicals Liteyniy prospect. First time you find this place you can't understand where you are: you see spacious green garden with cryptic grave and monuments and splendid Sheremetev Palace in the back of the yard.

Why you should visit it
At first you can spend some time in the garden but take a chance to visit the museum of Anna Akhmatova, Russian modernist poet of the The Silver Age. Her flat, where she lived under the supervision of the KGB, contains peculiar furniture of the USSR period, documents, photographs and personal Akhmatova’s things.
Special tip
In the museum there's also a room dedicated to the another famous russian poet - Brodsky.
