Market tour with food tasting

Hi! My name is Katarina and I would love to tell you about traditional Russian food! I was born in Saint Petersburg and lived here for all my life. When I was child I spent many summers in a village with my grandmother. There I learned about traditional country food (the way the best products should be chosen, the way it should be properly prepared and the way it should be cooked). I even learned how to milk a cow and then how to make butter, cottage cheese and cheese out of it and much more :)

During this tour I will take you to a very authentic place over here! Where you could learn a lot about real life in St Petersburg. I'll show you the most traditional specialities and teach how to choose the best ones. I will tell you about different regions of Russia and why each of them are so special. You will taste caviar, farmer cheese, traditional pickles and salted vegetables, Siberian honey and more.

After our market walk I would like to take you for a traditional lunch where you will taste traditional Siberian Pelmeni and a traditional drink and can ask me questions about Russian culture and life.
