I was traveling alone to St. Petersburg and only have a limited time there, and this day tour allows me to visit the 2 palaces in a day! My guide Marianna, and driver Akin, are both really friendly and helpful, making my tour a very pleasant and seamless one, not to mention that we have the privilege to skip the lines for entering each of these palaces. Marianna is very knowledgeable and cheerful, and speak very good English. She is also very accommodating and flexible in terms of the tour schedule. Last but not least, I got a very beautiful St. Petersburg picture guide book from Ulko tour as a gift, which is a really nice surprise! Highly recommend, worth the price.

Description
After meeting your local guide and driver in your hotel lobby, you’ll set off to the suburbs of St Petersburg in a private vehicle.
To avoid the crowds, you’ll first travel to Peterhof for special early admission to the Grand Palace. It was designed to be the centrepiece of Peter the Great’s “Russian Versailles”.
Following your palace tour, you’ll explore the amazing Lower Gardens and admire its numerous fountains, and have free time for lunch in the park café.
You’ll then drive to Tsarskoye Selo/Pushkin, where you’ll pass the Egyptian Gate. It previously marked the main entrance of the Tsarskoye Selo imperial residence.
During the second half of the tour, you’ll enter the Catherine Palace via a spectacular courtyard, continuing through the Golden Enfilade and grand palace interiors to the main staircase.
You’ll then see the Amber Room, and the private rooms of Alexander I and Paul I (please note that the museum reserves the right to close these rooms without notice).
After your palace tour, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a relaxing walk in the park.
