Why locals love it
At the most eastern point of Södermalm stands Fåfängan, a much-loved mountain and picnic spot offering spectacular views of the city. It’s especially popular in summer.
Why you should visit it
You can see it from afar – keep an eye out for neat rows of trees atop a rocky mountain. The café at its peak (open when the flags are raised) has mixed reviews, so do as the locals do and bring along a picnic.
