Locals flock to the former prison island of Långholmen during the warmer months to bathe in its modest beach. Just ten minutes’ walk from Horstull subway station, it’s a family friendly sandy spot that attracts a mixed crowd of all ages.
Why you should visit it
Make the most of the long days during summer and head here for sun, sand and plenty of swimming. If the small beach is too crowded, walk east to the other side of the bridge and get into the water from the rocks.
