Why locals love it

Nada is another of Södermalm’s homely little bars. Apart from charming bartenders, great music and regular guest DJs, it offers a tidy selection of fairly priced drinks and tasty tapas. Locals like it for its easy-going atmosphere.

Why you should visit it

If you’re floating about on Södermalm and looking for a friendly place to wet your whistle, drop by Nada for a drink or two. Note that “Nada” means “nothing” in Spanish, so look out for a sign that simply says “BAR”!

Special tip

Weekends are often crowded. If you’re planning a quiet drink with friends, it’s best to head here on a weekday.

Definitely too crowded to go at the weekend. Which doesn't help when you are a greeted by a rude bouncer at the door. As we walked into the bar he blocked us and pushed us back out into the rain to check our IDs. He took his time by letting a group of very young looking girls who came after us into a dodgy gate next door. (Not sure where they were headed?!) By the time he returned to check our IDs we decided it looked too cramped and didn't want to go in after the unfriendly welcome. Not in the centre of Sodermalm but we had made an effort to trek there and was let down by how small and busy it was. Wouldn't like to go back and try on a quieter weeknight, there are better bars than this one!
