Why locals love it

Östermalms Saluhall has been the pride of Stockholm’s foodie scene since 1888. Packed with reputable restaurants and food stalls, it’s paradise for the taste buds. Many stalls have been here for generations and the traders really know their stuff.

Why you should visit it

This is the place to experience Swedish cuisine at its finest and pick up top-quality ingredients to take home. Enjoy an authentic Swedish bite at Tysta Mari – the salmon bake is especially tasty, as is the fried herring with mashed potatoes and lingonberries.

Special tip

If you’re looking for some Swedish goodies to take home, grab a chunk of Västerbotten cheese and a jar of lingonberry jam.

Oldfashioned, authentic, but for the rich. If you can pull up with the poshy style, this is a nice place.

Best foodhall in sthlm, the produce is fantastic and the place is well worth a visit, even more so if you have a working kitchen during your stay, if not then just assemble a gorgeous picknick basket from the various stalls.
