How has Stockholm's residential parking permits affect traffic and congestion?

I am doing a research report on residential parking permits and I can't find any links about Stockholm parking permits and how it has affected its residents. I want to know if residents want fees raised or if they have easier parking as a result or even if you want the whole program cancelled?

There is some research on this, but mostly in Swedish. If you contact the researchers, they might have abstracts in English for you.

Regarding your specific question.
I'm sure none of the residents want higher fees. Even if it would deter some car owners from buying a permit, any available space would be taken up by visitors anyway, so the effect would be minimal, unless you raise it high enough to make people sell their car.

If you ask visitors, I'm sure the opposite is valid. They would all prefer higher fees, since they don't have to foot the bill.

Regarding cancelling the entire scheme, this has been proposed by some researchers, but I doubt that this is politically viable for now. Maybe Miljöpartiet and some extreme liberals would support it, but noone else:

This is a complex question.
I suggest that you contact Trafikkontoret.
