Why you should visit it

Escape the bustle of the city and head to one of Stockholm’s many magical islands for a day of swimming, sunning and strolling. Ferries and steamboat tours depart from Strömkajen near Kungsträdgården subway station. Popular islands include Vaxholm, Utö and Sandhamn. Prices vary depending on the destination.

Special tip

If one day isn't enough, Waxholmsbolaget’s “Island Hopping” travel pass (420 kr) gives you five days of unlimited transport between the islands.
