There are two types of Australian Bloodwood trees, both eucalypts. They produce a thick and distinctive red gum that looks a lot like juicy plasma. Or a thick claret, perhaps - rich and earthy. The food at Bloodwood - seasonal and made for sharing - is just as decadent and in tune with nature, accompanied by an award winning list of vino.
The food's reliably delicious and the vibe's cozy; surprising, because the fitout's industrial, comprised of raw and recycled materials. This, in no small part, is because of the generous and attentive wait staff; like all good hosts, they make you feel at home, whether you're at the bar, on the mezzanine or lounging on the outdoor terrace.
