It's a wonderful life at Golden Age. Screening a mix of delicious newbies, arthouse morsels and bonafide classics - often at the same price you would have paid when they were first released - this is a cinema for those with discerning tastes. But that also includes low-brow masters; 8 and 1/2 may well be on the day before Dumb & Dumber.
Why you should visit it
You won't find another movie house in town like this one: a beacon of refinement in a landscape blighted by multiplexes, with drinks and snacks fit for a legend of the limelight. How fitting that it used to be the screening room of Paramount House, where studio execs watched gelatine prints fresh off the jet from la-la land.
