Why locals love it
Sydneysiders love theme bars - from Guatemalan cervecería to gun slingin' saloons - and this pad is one of the best. Their motto is "cocktails first, questions later" and the yumtastic hooch combos certainly knock your bobby socks off. But it's the vibe that puts locals on cloud 9; there may be rockn' sounds on the stereo but this place is chill.

Why you should visit it
Is that John Waters leaning on the bar with Cry Baby, sipping a zombie? How did the owners manage to snag Etta James to play a set? And who would've thought you'd find Frank Sinatra looking wistfully upon Darlinghurst Rd while munching a Dinky Dog with extra eschallots? They're all here - if you squint hard enough and don't ask too many questions.
Special tip
Their (free!) spiced popcorn tastes like it's been smoked above a great ball of fire. Deeeeeelicious.
