It has an aphrodisiac quality to it. It's impossible not to be seduced by the place, with its intimate lighting, plush fitout and, of course, being so close to the musicians that you can feel their energy radiate through the room, pulsing from the amp, melodies slinking from ear to ear and soul to soul.
Ruby red walls, luxurious wood panelling and velvet details: a slice of 1920s Paris on Newtown's fringe. It's mostly music - singer-songwriters of every persuasion - but a variety of burlesque also takes the stage, straddling minds with lewd hypnotics. And there's out of the box theatre shows too, like a Shakespearean version of Reservoir Dogs!
You can have dinner while you watch the show, but you have to book the dinner and show ticket before you arrive.
