We had a phenomenal time on our historic pub tour. Each pub was so rich in not only its own history but the area and owners as well. John our guide made the tour extremely interesting by sharing his exquisite knowledge of the pubs, Sydney, and Australia. He made the tour fun and amusing the entire time. The pubs we visited were a true treat since without the tour we would missed such a thing. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about Sydney's history while having a good time.

Join us for a guided afternoon/evening walk through history to some of Sydney’s most famous pubs and alehouses.
This is a city that lived by its own notorious anarchy and rum-induced monopoly during colonisation, which later evolved into a place of street gangs, brothels and unsolved murders.
Sydney's history also involves beatniks, underground writers, artists and secret societies.
On this tour we bring a few characters back to life by visiting their haunts and telling their colourful tales of mischief.
You’ll visit 4 of Sydney’s oldest pubs and find out which one deserves to be called the city’s oldest drinking establishment. As you taste some of the best beer Sydney has to offer, sit back and listen to the stories and histories of these fascinating watering holes that have served the public for over 100 years.
Please dress according to the weather; if it looks like it’s going to rain, bring a coat and an umbrella. Also bring a bottle of water. As we’ll be entering pubs, appropriate footwear is required.
