Cafe Moon - Eating in Tallinn - LikeALocal Guide

Why locals love it?

CLOSED IN JULY! Cafe Moon is the perfect place to enjoy an exciting menu, strongly influenced by Russian cuisine, after a refreshing walk at the seaside. Its minimalist interior design projects an aura of sophistication, while remaining tactfully modest.

Why you should visit it

What makes Cafe Moon even more interesting is that its neat interior is in contrast to the surrounding neighbourhood. The cafe is situated in a place where architectural modernism clashes violently with the dilapidated docks.

Special tip

Try the fish dishes, dumplings and homemade rye bread or pickles with honey and sour cream!

So far it's the best example of Russian cuisine and welcoming Russian spirit in Tallinn. I couldn't find any drawbacks, all was perfect starting from the service and ending up with art of plating. Accurate delicate tastes, balanced dishes both for vegetarians and all-eaters :) Please promise to try rabbit kulebyaka (pie) and chocolate cake with halva cream - those were amazing!
