There're two things Estonia has a lot of - ice and space. Ice is a given during a large part of the year, but space is a bit more problematic in Tallinn. This is the only official outdoors ice rink in Tallinn and it's pretty popular.
'Til some years ago, the ruins of the building hit by bombs during WWII made for a sorry reminder of the country's turbulent past. Then, with the help of a few million in cash, the whole area was completely dug up and turned into a park. It was decided that the park is a perfect place for an ice rink. Do go and try out your ice legs in winter.
