Kakumäe beach is not as well known as Pirita and is therefore less crowded. The beach has relaxed atmosphere since most of the people are from the surrounding neighbourhood and it has everything you would expect - hot sand, cool water and surfers practicing their windsurfing and kitesurfing skills.

It is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the good weather if you are lucky enough to have some of the few sunny days in Tallinn. Take a walk along the seaside to a beautiful cliff and stay for the evening to watch the sunset. You need to take a bus 21A/21B/41B to Sooranna tee stop, and walk along Sooranna tee street until you get to the beach.
In the summer they have SUP board trips in the evening if you want to enjoy the sunset and see Northern Estonian cliff on the other side of the bay.
