Why locals love it

When Muhu Pagarid opened their little yellow patterned bread bakery in the most hidden corner of Telliskivi Loomelinnak, eating a whole loaf at once no longer was a problem to anyone. You walk there, the incredible smell invites you in and you leave with a warm smile on your face and even with a warmer black bread in your bag!

Why you should visit it

Yes, there are some other bread shops in Tallinn but somehow many cafeterias buy their bread from Muhu Pagarid instead of making their own! There has to be a reason for that! :) Also, the walk to Telliskivi Loomelinnak is so nice that while you are in the area, it doesn't take a lot to walk there and enjoy the bread! :)

Special tip

Check the opening hours from their Facebook page! :)

Our “like a local” guide, Alina, took us here. Tried some while still hot. It is very different to other European breads, but definitely tasty and worth a visit.

I walk down every saturday for a loaf of fresh bread, it's always worth it! You can also pick up some artisanal hand made butter and some beers from the Muhu Brewery.

Definitely the best bread in Estonia. Especially good when still warm and crispy, with cold garlic butter.
