Pirita in Tallinn
Why locals love it
Estonians are a seaside nation, so evening strolls, quicker rounds on rollerskates or cycling on the coast are a common sight to see. Pirita also opens up a vista on the Tallinn bay and the city’s famous skyline.
Why you should visit it
The sea of masts at the Pirita yacht club makes for an interesting walk and the imposing Pirita monastery ruins offer a chance to travel far back in time. And of course the famous Pirita beach, quiet at the winter and packed at the summer time.
Take bus no. 1A, 8, 34A or 38 from Viru Centre to the “Pirita” stop.
