Pirita beach is the most popular one in Tallinn, so you shouldn't expect a lot of privacy. Still, the water is safe, not too freezing and pleasantly uninfested by sharks or any other dangerous creatures. Volleyball is quite popular here so if you're seeking to have a more active vacation, keep an eye out for an open spot by the nets.
If navigating a crowded beach and lying in the sun tickle your fancy then that's the place. You can also head to the beach club for a drink and some shade. For romance, sunset walks are highly recommended but be aware that the furthest areas of the beach are for nudists. So don't be surprised if a naked guy runs by and ruins your date.
To get there take the bus no 1A, 8, 34A or 38 from Viru Center to the "Pirita" stop.
