Local pub fare

Why locals love it
Pööbel is a great place for an informal night out with friends. Its name stands for "plebs" – a tongue-in-cheek hint to being just downhill from the parliament. The place is always buzzing with lively groups of locals and their food is this traditional, filling and finger-licking pub food that makes you mumble with happiness.

Why you should visit it
Even though it's located just on the border of Old Town Pööbel won't be on your typical tourist trail, so it's a chance to see a different side of the city. And meet lots of local politicians for that matter. If you'd ask me about a place that serves truly Estonian food, I'd send you here instead of the expensive restaurants in the old town.
Special tip
Fried potato peels! Yum!
