Why locals love it

It's a well known brand among locals and there are several locations around the city. The most famous and best atmosphere is on Müürivahe street. It's a place for a quick coffee stop or takeaway, lunch meetings, a romantic dinner in the restaurant part – you name it. We like it cause we know what to expect.

Why you should visit it

If you want a no-nonsense, stop and go coffee shop then we reckon Reval Cafe might suit your needs. It makes good use of the old building, with the old brick walls boldly exposed. It looks quite fancy and that is in part due to the fact that it also hides a restaurant in the back. But the prices are extremely reasonable.

Special tip

The weekly lunch offers run for €4.50 and there's usually a main dish and a soup.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Get a place near the window, take a carrot cake with green tea and read a book. The place is really popular amongst the locals, so maybe reserving a place at the weekend is a good idea.

So. I have been here about 5 times during lunch in the past two weeks. Here are the things I like. A very decent crowd comes in and out. The ambiance is quite nice. And the lunch special are a very good price for an establishment of this caliber. Its a very good place for lunch, meet friends or a quick cup of Java as the reviews here state. Cons: The person below is very right. I often sit and just observe and laugh at how poor the service is. I watched two customers sit and wait almost 20 minutes for a waitress to come to their table before they finally gave up and ordered directly from the register as I had to do my first time there. Second con is the food -- I had the Salmon soup last week and almost became sick from the smell and taste. I am not sure it was the freshness and the soup was very thin broth as opposed to a puree. It was very unusual. I gave it a 4. I then tried the Pizza 3.60. The dough was extremely thin. For instance, if you think of a frozen pizza, the dough is about 1/3 as thick, tomato paste and then usually a herb thrown in. I had it 2 different day. To be honest, it was awful. I think tried the spaghetti with meatballs yesterday, 3 meat balls and a small portion of spaghetti. It was about a 5. I really really like this place for the clientele and the atmosphere but have to admit that the food is probably the worst I have had here in Tallinn. Am really sorry to have to say that Just have coffee or other drinks.
