Description

Kadriorg is a favourite place among locals for walks; there you’ll see a palace constructed on the command of Peter the Great, the residence of the Estonian President, the Peter the Great House Museum and the KUMU Art Museum.

The route will then take you to the Song Festival Grounds and then along the sea to the Pirita area. You’ll pass the Maarjamäe Palace, a monument to the parachutist Charles Leroux and a memorial complex before stopping at the Convent of St. Bridget.

On the way back to the city centre you’ll see the Olympic Yachting Complex, constructed for the sailing regatta of the 1980 Olympics, and the monument to the lost ‘Mermaid’ battleship. You’ll also pass by the Rotterman Quarter – home to stylish clothing boutiques and the Fat Margaret cannon tower.

The route will then take you to the Old Town fortification, where the 13th-century wall of Toompea Castle is clearly visible. The tour will end in the Old Town with a 1.5-hour walk and a coffee break.
