Tallinn’s beauty is not only skin deep; there is a ‘hidden history’ running parallel to the physical realm of medieval churches and cafe culture. This history is not based on archives and artefacts, but on a more romantic premise of storytelling and word of mouth.
Many of these stories are hidden from view and are often impossible to uncover without someone who knows them.
We will begin on the edge of Old Town and wander along Pikk street, winding our way towards the Old Town Square and the Upper Old Town. Along the way, we will pause at locations that many travellers would simply ignore and I will reveal to you the hidden stories that lie beneath the surface.
On this tour you will discover:
Why there is a deer statue in Old Town
Why the city walks with a limp
Why there is a strange hidden marking on the Old Town Square
How to answer this deadly question... "is the city finished yet"
Alongside this you will also hear my own personal stories of adventures in Estonia and what it's like to live here as a foreigner.
This is a walking tour and will last approximately two hours. I recommend comfortable footwear and appropriate clothing given the unpredictable Estonian weather!
