Almost every year in January and February, parts of the Baltic Sea completely freeze over, allowing authorities to open official ice roads between the mainland and western Estonian islands.
This day trip takes you by car over the ice to the Noarootsi peninsula – the heart of Swedish-Estonian culture and history. The trip also includes a tour of Haaspalu and a stop at the Keila-Joa waterfall.
Tours run from the second half of January until March when the ice roads are officially open.
