The Puppet museum in Tbilisi was founded in 1937 by famous children’s author Tinatin Tumanishvili. In the end of the XXth century the museum was robbed and had not been working for almost sixteen years, but was reopened for public in 2008.

It is a popular Tbilisi sightseeing place since then for everyone who adores puppetry. The museum collection consists of more than 3000 pieces made in 19th-20th centuries by artists from India, China, Japan and European countries.
‘Bedouin’, ‘The plane in love’, ‘Girl with a pearl earring’, and many more are the most popular puppets there.
